What we do

How we deliver our service

We utilize a variety of activities including DJ-ing, Song Writing, African Drumming, Music Technology, Vocal Training, Improvisation, Composition, Street and Contemporary Dance, Film Making and Drama. We employ the skills of freelance Community based artists, who are fully committed to our ethos. These artists use their expertise to develop the artistic potential of children and young people

Working within schools we have delivered projects which have resulted in showcasing children and young people’s work both in the schools and in outside venues such as the Drum. Some of our arts based activities have been designed to assist children in year 6 through their transition to secondary schools. One project with the theme of integration, which involved working with communities from contrasting areas, resulted in the production of a joint DVD. We are also involved in the promotion of young people to pursue their artistic activities either for leisure or a possible career. To this end we have trained some young people to shadow our artists. We feel that we are helping provide a core of youngsters with skills, which together with their enthusiasm can feed back into the community.
